Excerpt from Chapter 9

Gina held her breath as she passed the old man walking his dog. She knew it was ridiculous but she didn’t want anyone hearing her heavy breathing as she pounded her way up the street in what could only be referred to as a fast shuffle.

Much to her disgust, Gina had started exercising. At the last meeting of the Plump WAG’s Club, they had agreed to enter the local 5 K charity run next spring. Partly because it was a great cause but mostly because they had all agreed that one of the reasons for Gina’s recent weight gain might be due to her lack of exercise.

Gina was decidedly allergic to exercise. She much preferred to showcase her beautifully polished toenails by traipsing about in ruby red kitten heels. If she could have lost weight by diet changes alone then there was no way she would have put these clumpy trainers on her pampered feet.

Oh dear it sounds like Gina is in for a rough time, careful she doesn't injure her feet along the way!

After doing the walk for life (both for charity and excercise) I could hardly walk for months afterwards which rather defeated the object!

Hi LiR
Let's hope Gina fares better than you did! I think she would like to do the race in heels :)

Aha! So you're cunningly moving the story forward towards an eciting cross country chase scene. Clever.

(Nb I am often wrong about such things).

Looking forward to finding out how Gina gets on.
